    Gentlemen,
Bottom line up front: I want to use an Insight display with John Deere sensors on my combine.

Background: Not long ago I purchased a late model John Deere 9500 combine. The machine has new John Deere Mass Flow and moisture sensors, but no monitor, display, or software of any kind. My son has a 2008 Ag Leader Insight display with swath adjust or something like that. My question is this; can I connect my son’s Insight display to the John Deere sensors on the combine. My son tells me the John Deere sensors have duel CAN BUS cabling. Meaning I guess, they’ll except either 4.5 or the 2.5 voltage found on newer combines. My son told me he ran into a guy who has a 9650, who’s doing just that. Running the John Deere sensors with his Insight display he uses for his sprayer.

I’m just getting into this precision farming business, and I would rather spend extra funds on additional precision applications (i.e. planter and/or sprayer)than on a combine already equipped. From my research, this is a 2 to 3 thousand dollar question. That research also tells me that Ag Leader is a smart choice for precision technology. If I’m forced to get a John Deere monitor/display, I feel I’ll be forced to continue with John Deere precision technologies in the future.

Any serious suggestions or options would be very helpful and appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Mark N. Jones

I have new integra system in our case IH 1688. My current issue is that the vibration calibration button will not illumnate allowing me to use it. I tried each of the channels for the header height and elevator speed. The header height appears to be working now. How do I know when the elevator speed is working? What else do I need to check to get the vibration calibration working?

    Thanks

    Jason Gierman
