Ag Leader Visits the World’s Largest Ag Expo

by Mar 12, 2013Ag Leader

The World Ag Expo is held every February in the heart of California’s San Joaquin Valley. The show kicks off Tuesday morning with the National Anthem followed by an earth shaking fly over by 2 F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jets from the local Naval Air Base. Five Ag Leader employees were able to attend this year. We not only were able to share information about our products with dealers and farmers from across the world but also got to enjoy the sunny and 65 degree weather that California winters are famous for.

The World Ag Expo is the world’s largest annual agricultural exposition made up of more than 2.6 million square feet or approximately 60 acres of exhibit space, surrounded by more than 300 commercial crops in the center of one of the richest agricultural valleys in the world. The show attracts more than 100,000 people from across the United States and world each year. The diversity of the agriculture and equipment at this show is unprecedented. This year’s primary focus was on products that make farming less costly and more efficient; a category that Ag Leader fits into well. This show is particularly important for us because even though California grows a huge variety of crops their use of precision farming is lacking. This gives us the opportunity to showcase our products capabilities in a new and growing market.

Check out some of the equipment featured at the show that is used to serve the specialty crops grown in California.
