International Perspectives: When in Rome…

by Mar 25, 2014Ag Leader, International Perspectives

January 29 and 30, the EMEA office hosted a sales training for the distributors in Rome, Italy. This was the first of many EMEA sales meetings to follow.

Almost all distributors were present and informed on the great opportunities they have with the present Ag Leader products.  There were a total of 46 attendees! The growth of sales figures over the last 2 years and potential growth in years to come were discussed.

At the event, distributors with great experience with a product presented their business plan, their strategy. After this, all attendees could discuss this plan and learned from them.
Ag Leader Product specialists assisted in this discussion.

Petr Lebeda from P&L Czech Republic presented his success story with SeedCommand. He even convinced the countries Bulgaria and Romania to copy this concept. Petr mentioned clearly the high level of product quality of the Ag Leader products, hardware as well as software. Ag Leader is extreme reliable, Petr stated. All attendees gladly agreed.

Chris Nielsen from Datalogisk Denmark presented his success story with OptRx Crop Sensors. This story is to be continued the next years. Other countries can profit from his sales “recipe”.  New subsidies from the EU will support sales of crop sensors in all EU countries.

Mac Nel from South Africa prepared a good presentation on SMS Software. It was a great pity Mac himself could not attend due to a last minute conflict. SMS is a perfect tool for the precision farming. AgFiniti will be a great addition to the value of SMS. Especially in countries where the distances from field to farm are longer, and drivers need more immediate support.

CEO, Geert Jaspers, from Nagel presented his total business plan and strategy for selling precision farming products. The company set-up was explained, present staff, graphics on results, and the plans for the near and further future. A good and lively discussion between managers followed.

At the end, Dutch Consultant, Herman Krebbers, presented his expert vision on the past of precision farming, the current situation and the great future ahead.

Ag Leader staff explained the qualities, benefits and profits of the especially for EMEA. Very interesting new features, such as the new Liquid Control Module and AgFiniti were also discussed. The great advantages and unique sales opportunities of retro fitting the ISOBUS feature on sprayers were demonstrated.

Distributors exchanged experiences, opportunities and showed each other different ways to profit. This resulted in a very positive, if not enthusiastic, atmosphere. All together, we were Ag Leader.
