SMS Software Training – A key item to helping you understand your data

by Feb 29, 2012SMS™ Software

As we move into March, I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about the opportunities to attend a SMS Software Training. Michael and Aaron have written several posts around the idea of the ‘Value of Data’. If you start asking questions about your information, you need to have a resource that can give you answers. One of the key items that aid you in learning more about your data is understanding how to effectively use your GIS mapping software, which is why we provide so many opportunities to learn about the tools and features of our SMS software products.

Attend one of our SMS classroom trainings held at the Ag Leader Academy in Ames, or at a location near you. You can also learn about SMS software through virtual training. Visit sms.agleader.com for more information.

For those of you interested in training or additional resources, I would recommend creating a bookmark to our SMS Training and Resources page http://sms.agleader.com/b and visiting it on a regular basis. Here you will learn about several opportunities that are available to you.

Below is a brief description of the different types of trainings that are available to you:

Monthly Webinars – At the beginning of each month, we have three days where we provide free introductory meetings on how to use the SMS Basic, SMS Advanced, and SMS Mobile software. You can register online via the link provided and if you can’t make the time fit into your schedule, we have a link to the previously recorded session for you to watch on your own time.

Classroom Trainings – For those that are ready to spend a day or more learning about the tools and features available to help you gather more information about your, or your customer’s, fields, we have several opportunities for you sit in on a class, whether that be at the Ag Leader Academy here in Ames, or in one of the many other locations listed on our website. You can register for these trainings by calling us at 515-232-5363 ext 7101.

Web-Based Trainings – Don’t have time to take off a whole day or just want to learn more about a specific feature? Check out our listing of upcoming web-trainings. These web-trainings last an hour to an hour and a half and can be done from the comfort of your home or office. You can register for these trainings by calling us at 515-232-5363 ext 7101.

In addition to trainings and webinars, you’ll find additional links to items such as tutorials, a dedicated SMS forum, and additional documentation.
