SMS Training in Canada Engages Attendees

Spending the first part of November in Canada would typically mean cold weather and snow. This year, for SMS Software trainings and the 2014 Agri-Trade Equipment Expo, that’s exactly what was experienced.

Before training started one morning, I was asked a few questions from customers in attendance:

• Did changing my plant population this year affect the yield?

• Was the variable rate fertilizer application beneficial to increasing my overall yield?

• How well did the different hybrids perform across my various fields?

• What can I change for next year that I learned from this year?

These questions, along with several others, can be answered quickly and efficiently with the SMS desktop software. The software provides tools that can evaluate your practices throughout the growing season to make better decisions for next year. 

We had a great group of customers attend this year as harvest wrapped up which allowed time for SMS Basic, SMS Advanced and SMS Mobile training sessions. Trainings were focused on managing data that comes in from the field, printing reports and maps, building variable rate prescriptions, and exporting information back to precision ag displays. Having customers from different cities and towns, along with various backgrounds certainly helped us get to know each other and make connections within the industry. We would like to thank our customers for attending and look forward to seeing them again!
