General Description of Program:

This program is FREE! The PF Utilities program provides a way to work with files created with the PF3000, Pro, or Advantage other than YLD’s and provides serial interfacing to the monitor. This program allows the user to view/print/export BDY files, view/print/export/edit/create PFN files, download and print the season summary from the monitor, and update the firmware through a serial port connection.

What’s New in Version 2.1:

• Export BDY (Boundary) files as ESRI Shape files.
• Export PFN (Navigation) files as ESRI Shape files.
• Convert Shape files into PFN files for use in the PF.
• View and print TGT (prescription) file maps.
• Convert ESRI Shape files into TGT for variable rate control.
• Edit BDY and PFN files.

Download Instructions:

1. Create a directory on your hard drive named “PFUtilities_V2″
2. Hold the SHIFT key while you click on the link pfutil_v21.exe below.
3. Choose SAVE TO DISK when prompted.
4. When the file requester pops up, choose the download directory that you created in Step 1. Click on SAVE.
5. Your modem speed will determine how long it will take to download the file. Times will range from a few minutes to over an hour. A 56K modem is recommended as a minimum. Typical download time for 56K modem will be 1 hour.
6. When downloading is complete compare the file size on your hard drive to the file size stated on the link. The size must match exactly or the file will not work. You can get the file size by single-clicking the icon on your hard drive and choosing PROPERTIES from the FILE menu (or you can right-click on the icon and choose PROPERTIES).
7. When you have verified the size correctly, double-click the file and a requester will prompt you to pick a directory to extract the file. You will have to type the exact location from Step 1 in the requester. (for example: c:\pfutilities_v2)
8. To install the program, double click the setup.exe file in the PFUtilities_V2 directory.
9. Follow the directions in the installation procedure to complete the setup.
10. You should now be able to run the program.
