Section I: GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Home screen is the starting screen for the display. The Home screen will be a place to find auxiliary functions in the future. The Home screen currently provides four main buttons.
Section II: DESCRIPTION OF HOME ITEMS
Change Operator
Press the Change Operator button to change the active operator for keeping track of what data was recorded for that operator, specifically which Regions the Operator recorded. Go to the MANAGEMENT SETUP to learn how to setup and use Operators.
Copy to Card
The Insight display logs all data to internal memory for convenience and data integrity. Pressing the Copy to Card button will transfer log files from the internal memory to the external compact flash card. This process copies all new files that have been created since the last time the files were downloaded. Use the Copy to Card function when you are ready to transfer the files to desktop software.
The Insight display creates log files with the .ilf extension. The file will be named with the date the file was created. Example: 04081502.ilf, 04=year, 08=month, 15=day, 02= number of files created that day.
IMPORTANT! The log files will be REMOVED from internal memory after they have been copied to the external card. After the files have been copied to the card, it becomes the user's responsibility to backup the log files or process the data into mapping software. The removal of the log files in the display frees up internal memory for future log files.
When the Copy to Card button is pressed, a confirmation window is displayed. Press NO if you change your mind. However, if transferring the log files is truly desired, then press Yes. A progress bar is displayed during the file transfer process. The top bar indicates the progress of the file being transferred currently. The bottom bar indicates the overall progress. If there are only a few files, this process should be quick. If there are many files, such as an entire harvest, then the transfer process could take several minutes.
IMPORTANT! Do not to interrupt the copy process. Let the transfer finish before pressing on the screen.

Memory Card Compatibility
Compact Flash Type 1 (48-pin) memory cards
Recommended card sizes of 16 megabytes to 256 megabytes
NOTE: 128 Megabyte memory cards can be ordered from your Ag Leader Technology dealer.
Upgrade
Ag Leader Technology will periodically release upgrades that may include additional features and bug fixes. The Upgrade button will initiate the process of upgrading the display firmware. The Upgrade feature will also provide the ability to upgrade the firmware of a CAN module. The CAN module must be connected to the display when the Upgrade procedure is initiated to be successful.
To start the Upgrade process, insert a card that has an upgrade file on it. When the Upgrade button is pressed, a window is displayed that shows the upgrade files on the card. Select the appropriate upgrade file and press ACCEPT to start the upgrade process.
IMPORTANT! The upgrade process may take several minutes to complete. Be Patient! Do not interrupt the upgrade process. If the upgrade process is interrupted, the display may not startup and operate properly. After the upgrade process is complete, the display may power itself down. At that time, you may remove the card and the upgrade file can be erased.
Note: The current version of the display firmware is shown on the home screen.
