Section I: GENERAL DESCRIPTION
What is the Application Setup for?Application setups can be created for three different scenarios:
The first scenario (formerly called Site Verification) does not require a controller at all. The display just records the area applied for the selected product.
The second scenario requires a flow meter connected to a CAN module that interfaces to the display. Recording As-Applied Rate is also possible through a third party controller connected to a CAN module that interfaces to the display.
The third scenario involves one or more CAN modules by which valves and flow meters are controlled directly by a CAN module that interfaces to the display. This is also possible through a third party controller or connected to a CAN module that interfaces to the display. Application Setup is designed for two possible types of field operations:
Examples of Application:
Multiple Product Application (requires activation):
The system supports monitoring and controlling up to five products simultaneously. Not all of the products need to be controlled. Any combination of controlling and monitoring of products is supported. For example, you can control and monitor Product 1, monitor Product 2 via a flow meter, and record the area covered by Product 3 that is not being controlled or rate monitored.
Section II: DESCRIPTION OF SETUP ITEMS
What is an Application Configuration?
An Application Configuration is simply a Vehicle, Implement, Controller combination with predefined settings for a particular field operation. Configurations provide the convenience of selecting one item at the RUN screen rather than having to select the Vehicle, Implement, and Controller independently, as well as editing settings at run-time.
Configuration Tab Items:
To make changes to a configuration, select the configuration in the list by pressing on it. The buttons and settings to the right of the list will apply only to the "highlighted" configuration.
Vehicle Tab Items:
To make changes, select the vehicle in the list by pressing on it. The buttons and settings to the right of the list will apply only to the "highlighted" vehicle.
Implement Tab Items:
To make changes, select the implement in the list by pressing on it. The buttons and settings to the right of the list will apply only to the "highlighted" implement.
Controller Tab Items:
To make changes, select the controller in the list by pressing on it. The buttons and settings to the right of the list will apply only to the "highlighted" controller.
Product Tab Items:
To make changes, select the product in the list by pressing on it. The buttons and settings to the right of the list will apply only to the "highlighted" product.

Section V: HOW TO USE AN APPLICATION CONFIGURATION
RUN
Grower, Season, and Fields should have already been setup for operation. If this is not the case, go to the MANAGEMENT SETUP documentation.RUN Step 1: Select Field and Operation.
RUN Step 2: Select Region. The Region Selection window will be displayed to confirm the creation of the first Region. When starting a new operation the Region selection defaults to Region <1>. The Region name can be edited before pressing ACCEPT.
RUN Step 3: Load Prescription file (if applicable). The Application Control tab at the bottom of the screen has the Swath and Target Rate controls for operation. The Load Rx button will allow you to select the prescription file from the memory card for the field you are in. If you are manually changing the rate, then you do not need to load a prescription file.
Note: The display reads from the prescription file during application so the memory card has to remain in the slot.
Start Logging
As soon as the product application starts, display will show and instantaneous actual rate. It should match the rate displayed by the controller. As the vehicle moves forward, map points will begin to appear as the map arrow moves across the screen.
Area will accumulate when the application starts. The swath section indicators will change to blue on the Application tab when product is being dispensed.
-----
Display Items
The units displayed for Rate and Total Applied will be based on what units were chosen in the Product Wizard.
Swath Control
The APPLICATION Control tab provides a means of reducing swath from full width. Full swath width comes from the Implement settings. The number of segments that are shown is equal to the number of booms as set up in the implement. For area logging or flow meters and controllers that do not send boom on/off status, you can manually reduce swath on the display by pressing the boom section button(s) for the swath section(s) that you are not applying.
If the display is connected to a controller that sends boom on/off status, then you can't manually turn on/off each swath section. You must shut booms on/off from the controller.
Summary Screen
The Summary screen displays a tabular report for a field operation. The Summary screen can be displayed during data collection to provide a list of each Region total as well as the Field total. The Summary screen can also be used to review different fields after an operation is completed.
