  • Al Myers, an agricultural engineer, starts developing ideas for a high-tech, ag-related product during the bottom of the farm crisis in 1986. Myers teaches himself electronics and begins tinkering in his basement.

  • Myers spends six years developing and testing the first on-the-go yield monitor, with most testing taking place on his father's Illinois farm.
