2021 SureSpeed™ and SureForce™ Soybean Trial – Northwest IA
What We Were Testing For:
To determine if yield goals can be maintained through enhanced planting practices, while using SureSpeed™ and SureForce™, at reduced soybean populations. The agronomy team will conduct in-season visits to evaluate emergence and seedling depth to capture insights during the 2021 growing season.
Soybean emergence at the SureSpeed™ and SureForce™ trial.
The population treatments shown in AgFiniti® range from the grower’s standard rate to a rate of 20% below the standard rate, and a final treatment at 40% below the grower’s standard rate.

Harvest Observations and Insights:
The cooperator noted consistent emergence among the 30” row soybeans. A strong final stand is key to achieving target yields with low planting populations. SureSpeed and SureForce helped this cooperator achieve that goal. In this trial, the cooperator was able to achieve desired yield at a planted population that is 40% lower than the standard target rate. This netted a profit of $19.63/acre.
This is a summarization of data collected in one year and represents only what happened across the tested field in 2021. It is not a rigorous evaluation of factors that may or may not influence yield. Results may not predict future performance and may not be complete.
