Hours: 6-4pm, M-Th (or M-F if business needs dictate)

  • Assist in providing direction to team members in both Mechanical and Warehouse Departments.
  • Assist in coordinating tasks to assure maximum productivity, align labor needs and set priorities to meet production & customer needs.
  • Aid in compiling information relevant to Managing for Daily Improvement board, (MDI.) This includes data from Epicor as well as employee input. Information will be prepared for presentation format for daily “Gemba” morning meetings. Lead presentation, if needed.
  • Contribute to discussions on daily walkthrough, especially in regards to department goals, productivity and areas of improvement. Assist in leading Continuous Improvement meetings with teams, as needed.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees and training job tasks and general skills to Ag Leader quality standards.
  • Field team member questions and problem solve as issues arise.
  • Follow quality control, Kanban and 5s procedures.
  • Inspect finished product for acceptable quality and errors, identify non-conforming material and log appropriately. Determine cause of non-conforming material.
  • Identify product test fails, assign DMRs where needed.
  • Complete minor repairs on-demand within the department
  • Communicate to supervisor and engineering any equipment or machinery in need of repairs
  • Help maintain accurate training records which support our QMS and ISO 9001 certification
  • Follow proper procedures for using Epicor, Machine Down, Gold Standard, Order Tracker, Production Loader and Job Manager
  • Maintain accurate copies of work instructions for department.
  • Assist with new product introductions, be the first point of contact for feedback on what it will look like from an operator’s perspective, forecast issues and identify efficiencies.
  • Communicate, cross-train and problem solve with other departments.
  • Assist in submitting help tickets to IT, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, etc. as needed.
  • As necessary, must be able to operate production equipment with confidence, up to and including, production vehicles (WAVE), hand tools, etc.
  • Where applicable, record and create job receipts for finished product for transfer to shipping/distribution.
  • Ensure department compliance of ISO 9000 and employee training requirements.
  • Where applicable, perform annual re-certification trainings for all operators.
  • Ensure shift/department has CPR first-aid certified personnel.


Shipping Mechanical Department Responsibilities

  • Focus on origin of Work Stoppages to resolve issues and reoccurrence.
  • Monitor Job Statuses during and at the completion of tasks that register test record data. Ensure failed components are logged/tagged as such with relevant failure data.
  • Monitor Check Sheets (Crimp Height and station templates) and Calibration due dates daily/weekly.
  • Daily Mechanical and D Cell tasks will be created and on the printer every morning or at the end of the shift.
  • Prepare Job Travelers and turn them in to the Warehouse for picking. Monitor status of turned-in tasks to ensure materials are on hand and being picked, throughout the shift.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse personnel at DC, truck transfer times for timely transfer.

Warehouse Specific Responsibilities

  • Will be trained in all aspects of Warehouse operations to assist as needed, if absences occur.
  • Perform requisition sheet transactions and assist supervisor with gathering and communicating required product.
  • Communicate part shortages to the Purchasing department and attend Critical shortage meetings, as able.
  • Assist in consolidation of inventory so orders can be picked for the Production floor without interruption.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous knowledge of Ag Leader production process is desired.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to utilize computer to perform daily tasks.
  • Proven ability to handle work environment pressure(s) while multi-tasking.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Capable of communicating appropriately and effectively, specifically while leading a team and providing direction.
  • Act as a role model representing the Ag Leader Core Values.
  • Flexibility to stay late as necessary.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for up to 10 hours with scheduled breaks.
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week plus overtime as needed.
