Together we are Ag Leader: Dawn Harris

by Feb 28, 2013Ag Leader

To make Ag Leader Technology successful, many people have to come together and work towards a similar goal. Over the next year, I will be introducing readers to some of the people that make Ag Leader possible. From our engineering department to our dealers and customers, together, we are Ag Leader.

Today we will hear from our receptionist, Dawn Harris.

1. Name/Title/Time with Ag Leader
My name is Dawn Harris, and I am the receptionist. I started in mid-September in the shipping department and then transitioned to receptionist.

2. What is your role at Ag Leader?
I greet people when they arrive, answer incoming calls, handle incoming and outgoing mail, check out company vehicles and help other departments with special tasks, as needed.

3. What does it mean to be an “Ag Leader”?
I grew up on a farm and my dad really loves farming. Farmers and other operators want to be successful and stay in business. Ag Leader supplies tools and training to make that happen. Ag Leader products can give them an edge to manage many of the details that make a difference between success and just getting by.

4. What’s the best part of your job?
I like to meet new people and to be helpful, so this is a great job for me.

5. What do you like to do when you’re away from work?
My life outside of work is pretty busy. My husband works full time at the DOT and is a part-time pastor at a local church. Most weeknights I am helping the two kids I still have at home with homework, cooking, or working with my husband on the addition we're putting on our house. We are involved with Youth Group and an international student ministry. I spend all day Saturday shopping and cooking for a weekly dinner and bible study. I don’t have very much “down time” which is probably why I like to be able to come to work where I sit at a desk, answer phones and greet people. I get to read a little bit if the phones are quiet. =)

Still don’t understand the “Together we are Ag Leader” concept? Maybe this will help.
