Ag Leader Technology Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification
Ag Leader Technology is dedicated to bringing our customers the products they need to make their operations more efficient and profitable. One of the ways we do this is through creating a more organized operating environment. In an effort to improve our own internal processes and bring a higher level of satisfaction to the growers we serve, Ag Leader Technology made the decision to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification. On March 23, 2011, this goal was accomplished.
What is ISO 9001:2008 Certification?
ISO 9001:2008 is an international quality standard that defines the requirements for a company’s Quality Management System (QMS). Ag Leader’s QMS is made up of several things: our policies, processes, internal operating procedures and other standards that ensure customer requirements are met with the kind of consistency that leads to overall customer satisfaction, to name just a few.
To receive an ISO 9001:2008 certification, Ag Leader put the required QMS processes and controls in place, monitored performance of its processes and demonstrated continual improvement. Then, Ag Leader went through a rigorous third-party auditing process to make sure they were meeting all of the guidelines.
“Attaining ISO 9001:2008 certification is more than just passing the audit,” Tim Gaul, Ag Leader's Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager, explained. “It’s about our employees taking ownership of the processes and continuously improving how those processes perform. This helps create a strong quality culture, where Ag Leader employees recognize problems and take pride in developing the solution.”
