Getting to Know Ag Leader’s Software Support Team – Part 2

Last week, I introduced you to some of our Software Support staff. If you are calling in with questions regarding your SMS Advanced or Mobile Software, you will likely be speaking to one of our full-time support staff members dedicated to our software product line. Today, meet Jessica Ahrens, Luke James and Ethan Smidt.

Jessica Ahrens Jessica started at Ag Leader in April of 2008.  She is a member of the SMS Software Support team focusing on phone support and customer and dealer training.  Jessica grew up in Pana, Illinois on a grain and cattle farm.  She graduated from Iowa State University in 2003 with a degree in Animal Science. After graduation Jessica worked for agricultural technology companies that provided electronic platforms for tracing animal movements and seed ordering/grain merchandising programs.

Luke James Luke started with Ag Leader in May of 2007 working as a Software Support Specialist.  Luke is originally from Blandinsville, IL, and grew up on a family farm raising cattle and growing corn and soybeans.  Luke graduated from Western Illinois University in 2007 with a degree in Ag Business.  Luke enjoys spending time with family and friends, sports (Atlanta Braves and Michigan Wolverines), spending time with his wife, and playing with their dog, Moose.

Ethan Smidt Ethan started with Ag Leader in January of 2011 and is currently a full-time Software Support Specialist.  His primary focus is providing phone and email support for the SMS users while also helping with training sessions for dealers and customers.  Originally from Greene, IA, Ethan grew up helping with his father’s independent crop consulting business.  He graduated from Iowa State University in 2010 with a degree in Agronomy.  In his free time, Ethan enjoys many activities including fishing, mountain bike racing and riding dirt bikes, as well as spending time with friends and family and attending ISU sporting events.
