International Perspective

It has been a busy start to 2012 and already I feel like I’ve travelled around Europe a dozen times! In reality, it is probably not too far from the truth. The month of March also sees my fifth year with Ag Leader Technology – how time flies when you are having fun!

We have appointed new distributors already this year for Lithuania and Estonia and earlier this year, I was invited to the Grand Opening of the new offices for UAB Ivabalte in Lithuania.

I have to say that this was one of the grandest openings of a new office that I have ever been to! It was almost like going to a rock concert and was absolutely amazing!

Ivabalte was started in 1995 by Irmantas Tarvydis. Fast forward 17 years and Ivabalte is one the largest ag. companies in Lithuania and now employs 125 people. They are looking to the future and can see Precision Farming playing a large part of that future, which is why they have chosen Ag Leader as their Precision Farming partner.

It has to be said that I had a great time here. Some were celebrating until the early hours of the next morning. I would like to wish Ivabalte all the best for the future.
