In honor of Ag Leader’s 25th anniversary, we will spend some time focusing on an essential part of our success… our employees!

Name: Chad Gibbons
Title: Production Specialist V
Hometown: Boone, IA

How long have you been employed by Ag Leader? A little over six years

What are the different positions you have held at Ag Leader? I have worked in the cut/crimping area of the cables department from my hire date.

How have you seen Ag Leader and precision ag as a whole change during your time here?
Ag Leader has grown as a company since I’ve started. It’s fun to see new products evolve and also understand how they benefit the customer. Precision ag has changed fast through the years. I farmed with my dad and grandpa in the 80’s and 90’s. We farmed 100 acres and also fed cattle. Grandpa actually had a 2-row corn picker back in 1985! At that time we did not have any precision ag products in the market but in the mid 90’s that changed. My cousin in Greene county currently farms a few thousand acres and it’s fun to see the new equipment.

What is your favorite thing about working here?
My favorite things about working here have been the great co-workers, employee benefits, and working on great products to serve our customer needs.

What do you do in your free time?
I spend a lot of my time with my 12 year-old daughter when I’m not at work. she is in dance and many activities. I also enjoy riding my Yamaha sport bike, grilling, casinos, and being with friends and family.
