Welcome to Ag Leader!

by Sep 10, 2013Ag Leader, Training & Support

As fall nears and harvest season ramps up, the buzz around Ag Leader increases. It only makes sense to welcome new employees before one of our busiest seasons. Allow me to introduce these new faces to the Ag Leader Technical Support Team.

Mitch Lensing
Mitchell started working for Ag Leader in May of 2013 as part of the hardware technical support team.  He is a December 2013 graduate from Iowa State University where he majored in Agronomy with an emphasis in crop production and management. Mitchell grew up in Northeast Iowa, near Decorah. His family owns a 350-cow Holstein dairy operation. Growing up, he was heavily involved in all aspects of the family’s farm.  In his free time, Mitch enjoys visiting his six siblings, fishing, hunting, and working on the farm. Mitch would like to someday have a big family of his own and be the proud owner of a classic car.

Drew Johnston
Drew started with Ag Leader in May of 2013 as part of the hardware technical support team. Drew grew up assisting on his family’s cow-calf and row crop operation just outside Murray, Iowa. Due to his constant exposure to agriculture, Drew decided to study and graduate from Iowa State University with a degree in Agriculture Systems Technology in May of 2013. Outside of work, you can find Drew out on his family’s farm, impersonating a mechanic, or spending time with friends.

Travis Anderson
Travis began his Ag Leader career in the spring of 2013 as part of the hardware support team.  He grew up in Watertown, South Dakota where he spent summers during his younger years on his grandparent’s farm, southeast of Raymond, SD.  He then went on to spend his summers working in construction. Travis graduated from Mitchell Technical Institute with a degree in Precision Technology.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Brent McCartney
Brent started with Ag Leader in May of 2013 as part of the technical support team. Brent is originally from Hubbard, Iowa, where he worked on his family’s corn, soybean and swine farm. There, he utilized precision agriculture equipment for various operations. Brent graduated from Iowa State University in 2013 with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Ag Business. Brent enjoys working, hunting, wakeboarding and snowmobiling in his free time.
