Ag Leader’s Internship Program: Providing Experience for the Next Generation of Experts
Here at Ag Leader Technology, we pride ourselves in supporting the future of our industry by giving young people opportunities to learn about precision agriculture in our Technical Support Internship Program. In this program, students studying agriculture and technology take a seven month break from their studies to come to Ames, Iowa, join our support staff, and learn the ropes of the precision ag industry.
In order to insure our dealers and customers get the same high quality support they are used to and expect from Ag Leader’s technical support department, our interns go through the same training program our full time staff does. At the conclusion of the training, they are fully prepared to assist you on the phone or by email with troubleshooting your Ag Leader products.
During training, our staff receives detailed instruction on all of the Ag Leader hardware they may be asked to support by our customers and dealers. This means even today every new support employee learns about our legacy products like the YM2000, PF3000 and the rest of the products that led to the products we sell today.

“My experience at Ag Leader has been very enjoyable. It is always something new every day and provides an opportunity to continue learning about Ag Leader and other precision ag products. The internship required a large amount of training, which really helped me learn about the industry. Helping customers has been fun and has really helped my communication skills. Overall, my experience as a machine guidance support intern has been very educational and rewarding.”

This fall, we will be recruiting for our internship program beginning January, 2013.
